Librarian Professional Development: a descriptive study of the implementation of the element of professional development activities in Library Technical Implementation Unit of Unsoed

ABSTRACT

Research with the title of Librarian Professional Development: a descriptive study of the implementation of the element of professional development activities in Library Technical Implementation Unit of Unsoed, the purpose of this study was to determine the extent librarian professional development activities. The method will be used in this research is method survey with descriptive analysis. The analysis will be presented using frequency tables and narrative to provide explanations about the implementation of the element of professional development activities by librarians. The population in this study is the librarian (in accordance with SK Menpan No. 132/KEP/M.MENPAN /12 /2002) working in Library Technical Implementation Unit of Unsoed as many as 16 people. The results showed that only a small fraction librarians who carry out professional development activities, particularly in the implementation of a writing / papers in the field of libraries, Documentation and information.
